Magnifique!!

One thing I knew I absolutely wanted, needed, had to have, was chandeliers in the vintage trailer!  Now, light fixtures in a camping trailer are unique; they are plastic {yuk}, very light-weight, and held up by one very small bolt that also doubles as the switch.  Mine also happened to be 45 years old!

After realizing that a real glass chandelier was not an option {even if it was very tiny and super cute...I did find one!}, I decided to improvise and make my original plastic fixtures look like they were chandeliers.  So, I found some Christmas ornaments and took them apart, rebuilt them and this is the result...

Do you like them?  They definitely look like chandeliers, but are small and light-weight so that very small bolt can hold them up, if they do happen to fall they are plastic and should not break or cause injury, and they only hang down about 3 inches so most of us don't have to worry about hitting our head on them.  Magnifique!!

Thinking about naming the old girl "Jewel".  What do you think about that name?

Inspired by the sunset...

We are having the most wonderful Indian summer with sunny warm days, cool crisp nights and absolutely gorgeous sunsets!  The newly created long necklaces remind me of the colors of the sunset and are the perfect accessory with jeans and a t-shirt.  Love the way they layer and compliment each other...

Four of my favorites layered up {the orange one is already sold!}

Black & silver...always classy!

Wear this combo with a white t-shirt or LBD

All of these new necklaces are $26 and under!  Get yours at the vintage trailer today or purchase on Etsy beginning tonight after 6:00 MT.

Have an awesome day and take time to watch the sunset...

A little pink birdie for you...

In honor of our birdie logo and the opening of our vintage trailer, shoppers who come visit will be treated to a little pink birdie cookie and a cup of delicious coffee made in our vintage percolator!  We want you to feel welcome, and we hope you stay a little while so we can enjoy your company!  Don't they look great??

Devyn...the only thing more adorable than the cookie!

Perfect little twice loved birdie cookies!

A big thank-you to all our friends and family who have supported the dream of our vintage business and now the opening of our vintage trailer boutique!

PS...did anyone wonder who my special guest was last Wednesday?  It was my sister, Leah, who came to see the trailer, do some shopping and have some sister-time!  So fun!

Purple mountain majesty...

I took a little mountain drive yesterday with my hubby and I found tons of inspiration that I plan to use when I get back into the studio this week!  Here's what I am thinking...something using metal {with lots of patina!}, something with movement and maybe a little something blue.

I love the way this old coal cart has weathered!

Here's the movement...a swing necklace, perhaps?

And this is something blue.  Absolutely gorgeous!

I love using nature for inspiration!  I am amazed at the creativity that God has shown us through His handiwork...and the beauty of each different landscape.  It makes my soul smile!

Stay tuned to see what we come up with!

No room is complete without a little flower arrangement...pick something from your yard {flowering branches are good}, or come see our everlasting flower decor.

Let your light shine...

We love old lamps!  These two beauties have been restored, rewired and given new lampshades for twice loved vintage chic!

Gorgeous crystal base and fun shade...so cute!

Crystal chandelier lamp with designer shade...this one was found with plastic crystal-shaped dangles that had yellowed with time.  Immediately, I knew the plastic had to go, but the lamp looked really naked without the crystals.  On our treasure hunt at the Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market, we found the perfect crystal dangles!  Yay!!  This lamp is really really beautiful!

Lamps can soften any space and make any room feel homey.  Small lamps are especially nice as they fit almost anywhere and can add personality and charm.  Try adding a lamp to your kitchen...instant warmth!

Have a great week, everyone, and don't forget to let your light shine!

Bicycle transformation...

This old bicycle has been in my yard for years, just waiting for an awesome vintage trailer to park in front of.  We transformed it with a little turquoise paint and foliage...

Blurry picture, but you can tell she is in need of a makeover!

Voila!  Doesn't she look happy??

There are some days that I wish I could get a makeover...and a do-over!  Luckily, I have awesome friends and family that forgive my shortcomings and a God who loves me no matter what!  Every day is a new beginning...so I think I'll start that diet tomorrow!
