This past weekend, Ashley & I traveled to Bozeman, Montana, along with family and friends to celebrate the milestone of college graduation with Ross {my son & Ashley's brother}. We just wanted to share a few things we learned along the way...
~ No accomplishment can be celebrated without the help of
friends and family!
~ Everyone should visit Montana at least once in their life...
it is beautiful!
~ Hard work does pay off... Ross graduated with honors!
As for the graduation ceremony, it was the best I have ever
seen! Why? The keynote speaker was Jake Jabs, founder
and owner of American Furniture Warehouse, and he gave
the graduates this advice: value your education, work hard,
save some money, be honest and help others along the way.
worked on his family's farm growing up. His parents were
both immigrants, his father from Russia and his mother from
Poland. They came to America to begin a better life for
themselves and their kids. Jake attended Montana State
University before starting several businesses and finally
purchasing a furniture company and renaming it American
Furniture Warehouse. Jake has donated over $28 million
In his closing statement to the graduates, he told them that
the greatest reward of a college education is the confidence
that is gained providing the basis for future dreams and
success. What an inspiration!
There ceremony ended with the MSU fight song, mascot and
balloon drop. GO CATS!
Thanks to everyone
who came to help us celebrate!
And congrats to Ross!
Just me being Momma Bear...Lori
